Monkey is back from the paint shop. Before she went 26kg, now 27.4 so Chris has done a good job. Hes managed to keep the weight down by not priming the hull just doing 3 top coats.
2024 Worlds are in Germany as part of Travemunde week. The challenge is to complete Roobard in time, leaving Monkey free for Henry. Henry's not yet sailed a canoe (hes only 14....) but is up for a challenge even if he just races on quiet days. Monkeys seat and carriage is heading for the sprayers next week and im intending to re-launch her April 26th or 29th. There's still a bit to sort out.... rudder, kicking strap, mast, final rigging...... but essentially im now going to be getting her outside and starting on Roobarb. The seat and carriage moulds are all sorted out and I have various moulds for the foils. I have secured ...

I’ve done a design for Perham Harding titled Gentleman’s Canoe (Dragonfly Mk3) which is in build with Sam Barker and I do have a design I have developed with Tony Marston based on the Slurp design (which almost could be a Monkey Mk2), titled “Super Slurp”. The intention is that this is suitable for home build, possibly in ply or foam over a simple frame. At some stage I will develop plans or a kit for a build. Hot off the press is another design I am considering that is aimed...
